Sisters in Crime - Iowa is the Iowa chapter of Sisters in Crime

Sisters in Crime is an international organization of readers and writers whose mission is to promote the professional development and advancement of women crime writers.

The organization was founded in 1986 by Sara Paretsky and other women mystery writers and enthusiasts and has now grown to over 50 chapters around the world.


Membership is available to all who have an interest in crime, mystery and suspense works.  We welcome writers, readers, fans, librarians, booksellers, publishing professionals, reviewers, and all others who love the genre.

Membership Requirements

If you're not already, you must first be a members of the national organization of Sisters in Crime. It's easy to join. Just visit the Sisters in Crime website for the details.

To join the Iowa chapter, you can always join in person at a meeting or send us your information and dues.
